Once Upon a time in a far away land…

Ok, just kidding. This isn’t far from me at all, but sometimes traffic makes it’s presence and it feels like another realm.  But for real, isn’t she magical? I felt like I was shooting for Fairytale Vogue: Maternity Edition. It’s not too often the sun makes itself visible with this golden light, in December. However, Sonoma County, has seen its fair share of drought these last few years. I’ll tell you, for photo’s sake, it has been amazing for 2020, minus the “big sick.” 

Marie and her babe, came to play with me on this seventy-something degree day and we hiked up to the top of this golden hill just in time to watch an amazing sunset, all the while twirling, staring into that beast of a sun and getting poked by the barbed weeds that jab you in your rear when you try and sit pretty. 

Maternity photography has been something I’ve been loving more and more. I love hearing your stories, I love sharing my own, and I just can’t get over how perfect motherhood is from the very beginning even with all the imperfections and interruptions that may (well, do) happen. 

So here we are, at the end of 2020, hoping and wishing all will be well in a few weeks when the ball drops. I don’t think bippity boppity boo and the swish of any wand will create that, but high hopes and kindness sure go along way. Keep it up humans, I know you have it in you!
